About me
Chase Beathard is the Associate Director of R&D, leading the cell and molecular biology team at Fungi Perfecti, LLC. His research explores the impact of fungi on human health, spanning immunology, neurobiology, virology, longevity, and general wellness. Prior to his time at Fungi Perfecti, Chase honed his research skills by conducting experiments in high throughput physiological screening pipelines in the agricultural biotech industry. In graduate school, he applied molecular genetics and biochemistry techniques to study the ubiquitin proteasome pathway in plants, culminating in his PhD from Washington State University. His passion for the mushroom industry and for leadership led to his current pursuit of an MBA in leadership and management from Missouri State University. Chase has a keen interest in using molecular tools to develop and optimize fungal strains to the benefit of people and planet.
